To fulfill this mission, you are charged with finding a single object that you examine for longer than the time you would usually spend and construct a thought, a story, a narrative involving this object. At this point, you would upload it to the blog, which I will lightly moderate but never edit of modify, and tag it with: your name or anonymously, your location (city – country – street, be as specific as you like) what you observed and any other relevant information. The blog will be open to upload for a single month from the date of this release (till Jan 30th, 2010). You may include photos, drawings, video or any other media required to describe your experience.

Some ideas:

Litter
It is everywhere. Why not spend a minute and evaluate it’s position and relevance to its location. How about that piece of litter as a culture artifact, art or found object. Explore the way wind blows a cigarette butt or chips bag.

Crowd dynamic
Watch a crowd for a few moments. Examine how they interact with an object around them or each other. Be a fly on the wall or construct a story about an interaction.

Photo
Take a photo of something usual in an unusual way. Seek a meaning through an angle or superimposition. Give a new eye, a new view to the everyday.

Now… If you read it and like the idea, write a blog (long or short, it doesn’t matter) and post this in your facebook profile or twitter account. Even if you don’t write or don’t want to, but like the idea, post this! Part of this experiment is to get a good amount of people documenting something from their everyday in a new way.

The blog theme will reflect its location in Kitchener, but anyone from anywhere can write in about what they see. It will be interesting to read about experience from any perspective on the planet.
